Our Mission
Lupus is a complex disease that requires a comprehensive strategy. The mission of the LSK Lupus Awareness Foundation is to improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus. With the help of our sponsors, supporters, and volunteers, we conduct activities to increase awareness of lupus, we rally support for those who are affected by lupus and advocate on their behalf, and we raise money to support research and education programs so everyone affected by lupus can have an improved quality of life.

Latonya S. King
The LSK Lupus Awareness Foundation was created in memory of Latonya S. King who lost her battle with Lupus in 2011. Full of life is how we like to remember LaTonya. Her smile brightened many days, and her life touched us in many ways. Although she is no longer with us in the physical realm, her spirit will always be with us.
In her honor and memory, the LSK Lupus Awareness Foundation remains steadfast and committed to aiding and caring for the individuals and families struggling with Lupus on the Eastern Shore.
Together we can form "A Community Fighting Lupus One Step At A Time".
